But it is very rare to hear any advice about how you can actually become a MLM distributor where you can sell products through other network marketers and not have to worry about downlines and uplines at all. This is one level of marketing that not many people hear about because it is probably the hardest to be a part of. Here are some things that you will need to prepare yourself to become a distributor.
Products – Basically, it is the MLM distributor that creates all the products that are going to be sold in a network. This means that you are either a manufacturer or a distributor of other company goods. You are not, however, going to do the direct selling yourself. You are basically going to be on top of the chain as a provider of the products that are needed by the network marketers as they make their sales. That being said, you will need to keep a good stock of the products that you want to have sold. These products will also ultimately be the things that attract MLM companies to you as a distributor. Make sure you have products that are easy to sell and also easier to restock so that you always have something to sell when it needs to be sold.
Compensations – As the distributor, you will be approached by MLM companies to help sell your products. This also means you will be approached with certain proposals on compensation methods that some MLM companies will come to expect for their services. You will need to know about all the compensation methods that are out there in the MLM industry. You cannot afford to be fooled into a compensation scheme where you will not see any of the profits. Of course, it may seem impossible to be scammed but you also need to be able to weigh out the different plans and see where you will profit from the most. A lot of distributors will often opt for the Stair Step compensation plan. This involves having certain networking individuals within a network to be promoted according to the number of products that have been sold. This is one plan that you may want to consider as a distributor.
Advertising – As a distributor you may need to do a little advertising of your own so that you can get MLM companies to sell your products for you. You do not need to rent out billboards or make TV ads to get their attention. You just need to make sure that you be in the proper venues to make your presence known as a distributor. You can join expo’s or even just go to MLM forums online to seek for people who can help you sell your products. This is one of the responsibilities of a distributor that is just starting out in the MLM game.
